The Chairman of the Famuyiwa Youth Association in Lagos State, Hon. Yahaya Gambo Ogan Boyen Gwarzo, stated that his major aspiration is to see Northern youths become economically competitive across the country.

He made this known during an interaction with the Association of Northern Journalists in the Aja area of Lagos State.

He said he is surprised that Northern youths are still being used by some people to carry out unpleasant activities.

He added that the acts of thuggery and clashes among youths are largely caused by unemployment. Therefore, he stressed that wealthy individuals and relevant authorities must rise up to ensure the introduction of sustainable measures to continue supporting youths and improving their livelihoods.

According to him, this is the path that will help reduce terrorism and criminal activities across the country.

Hon. Yahaya Ogan Boyen Gwarzo said he has already secured various jobs for thousands of youths in different sectors across the country, which gives him great joy whenever he reflects on it. He added that this is a value he learned from his mentor, who is currently the Chairman of Nasara Local Government Area in Kano State, Hon. Yusuf Umar Ogan Boye.

He described him as one of the youths Northern Nigeria is proud of, due to his efforts in creating job opportunities for young people. He said this inspired him to emulate the same habit in his own efforts to assist youths and the wider community.

Ogan Boyen Gwarzo further stated that beyond job creation for youths in the northern part of the country, he is constantly involved in other areas, especially education, health, agriculture, and other basic needs of daily life.

He said that soon, over 3,000 textbooks and school bags will be distributed to students to enhance teaching and learning.

In his remarks, the community leader of Famuyiwa in Lagos State, Chief Abidadeen Kolapo, expressed his happiness over the way Hon. Yahaya Ogan Gwarzo has been supporting youths, including those within the community in Lagos State. He noted that there is the construction of a mosque and other community development projects which Hon. Gwarzo has been actively supporting.

He then called on other wealthy individuals and prominent business people to show commitment toward supporting youths and the general public as a whole.
