
Governor Dikko Umaru Radda of Katsina State has described Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu, as a role model in infrastructural development for the North West.
Speaking to journalists at the Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport, Birnin Kebbi, on Saturday, Governor Radda congratulated the people of Kebbi for electing Comrade Nasir Idris as their Governor.

“We are in Birnin Kebbi to witness the holy matrimony between our son, Salihu Dahiru Mangal, and Engr. Hawwa’u Hassan Kangiwa, during which Governor Idris served as the Waliyy, giving out her hand in marriage with a dowry of ₦200,000,” he said.
Radda commended the warm reception accorded to his delegation, noting that they were well received and hosted.
He further lauded the infrastructural transformation in Kebbi, citing good roads, solar-powered streetlights, and modern buildings.
“My brother and colleague, His Excellency Nasir Idris, has recorded remarkable achievements within a short period in office. I boldly say Kebbi State is a model every state, especially in the North West, should emulate,” the Katsina Governor affirmed.
On the marriage ceremony which he attended in Birnin Kebbi, Governor Radda advised the couple to embrace patience, perseverance, and mutual respect, describing marriage as a sacred and honourable institution.
“I pray to Allah to bless the marriage we just witnessed. May the Almighty continue to guide and protect our leaders and grant our nation peace, security, and prosperity,” he prayed.
