He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to piety, diligence, transparency, and patriotism in service to the people.
Dr. Idris restated his focus on key development areas, including Education: Construction of multipurpose, fully equipped mega schools to provide secondary education, skills acquisition, and ICT training. Infrastructure: Sustained upgrading of government institutions, expansion and beautification of major streets, installation of modern roundabouts, and solar-powered streetlights.
Agriculture: Provision of solar-powered irrigation pumps for year-round farming and free fertilizer distribution to farmers, among other initiatives aimed at bolstering food security.
Others include Healthcare: Continued improvement of facilities and services to enhance access to quality healthcare and Economic Empowerment: Implementation of additional programmes to drive economic growth and development.
Governor Idris called on the people of Kebbi State to work together in unity, setting aside differences to ensure peace, security, and progress.
He expressed gratitude for their support and prayers, which, he noted, have enabled his administration to record modest achievements despite formidable challenges.
He further aligned his message with the Federal Government’s theme for this year’s celebration: “All Hands on Deck for a Greater Nation,” urging Nigerians to renew their commitment to patriotism, selflessness, and prayers for purposeful leadership at all levels.
