Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, describing him as a towering figure in Islamic scholarship whose life embodied piety, devotion and unwavering service to humanity.

In a heartfelt message released on his X handle, Senator Tambuwal noted that Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi was far more than a scholar.

He was a guide, a teacher, a reformer and a bridge builder whose influence shaped generations across Nigeria and beyond.

He commended the late cleric’s immense contributions to the growth of Islam, moral discipline, peaceful coexistence and spiritual enlightenment, stating that these legacies would remain enduring pillars of national memory.

According to the former Governor of Sokoto State, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi lived a life marked by humility, compassion and deep commitment to spreading knowledge.

His teachings strengthened communities, healed divisions and reminded Nigerians of the timeless values of faith, patience and righteousness.

Senator Tambuwal noted that Nigeria had lost an irreplaceable light and the Muslim Ummah one of its most respected spiritual leaders.

He prayed that Almighty Allah SWT forgives his shortcomings, accepts his lifelong service, illuminates his grave and grants him Aljannatul Firdaus.
