Senator Ibrahim Lamido Honoured as Best Performing Senator in Sokoto by Caliphate Tracka

Senator Ibrahim Lamido, representing Sokoto East Senatorial District, has been honoured with the Best Performing Senator in Sokoto State Award by Caliphate Tracka Transparency and Accountability Civil Society Organisation

This is contained in a letter dated 31/12/2025 and signed by the founder and team leader Hassan Shehu and made available to Newsmen on Thursday.

According to the statement, Senator Lamido’s outstanding performance in legislative engagement, constituency development, and commitment to transparency and accountability have distinguished him as a model of effective representation.

The letter reads as “on behalf of the Caliphate Tracka, a Transparency, Accountability and Civil Society Organisation we are pleased to formally inform you that you have been recognised as the best senator in Sokoto state for the year 2024”.

“This award is in acknowledgement of your outstanding performance in constituency service, which has been widely commended as second to none among the three senators representing Sokoto state in the National Assembly. Your dedication impactful projects and commitments to the welfare of your constituents have distinguished you as a model of effective representation”.

“We congratulate you on this well-deserved honor and look forward to celebrating this achievement with you”.

The statement noted that Senator Lamido stood out for his visible impact in health, education, rural infrastructure, and youth empowerment.

On his part Senator Lamido, appreciate the gesture and dedicated the award to the people of Sokoto East and pledged to continue promoting policies that reflect their aspirations.

He emphasized the importance of citizen oversight and praised the role of civil society groups in strengthening democracy.
