The Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mohammed Usman Zuru (Lifiddan Zuru), on behalf of the members of the State Assembly, has extend heartfelt felicitations to the State Governor, People of the State and other Nigerians on the 65th Independence.
The celebration of Nigeria’s Independence Day on October 1st is a significant occasion that reflects the history, struggles, and achievements of our great nation. The theme; for this year’s celebration, “ALL HANDS ON DECK FOR A GREATER NATION”, focused on nation-building and the role of youth in achieving sustainable development.
The Independence Day celebrations provided an opportunity for self-reflection and commitment to our nation. It reminded us of the sacrifices made by our forefathers for our freedom and the continuous journey towards nationhood. The vibrancy and enthusiasm displayed by the Nigerian citizens demonstrated a renewed commitment to unity and progress.
While emphasizing the importance of national unity, development, and the need for citizens to contribute positively to the society, the speaker reiterated the commitment of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, in enacting laws that will bring positive changes to the lives of citizens and their continued support and collaboration with the State Governor Comrade Dr Nasir Idris in actualizing his transformation agenda, through infrastructure, Agriculture, Education, Health and Empowerments.
“I also extend my heartfelt gratitude to the people of Kebbi State for their resilience, commitment and trust to the present administrations of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Dr Nasir Idris towards collective progress. Together, we can build a stronger and more prosperous Kebbi State and Nigeria”.

The speaker said the State House of Assembly remains committed to addressing the needs and aspirations of our citizens, ensuring that the ideals of freedom, justice, and equality are upheld.
