The limelight once again shines on Kebbi State as Governor Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu) received high commendation from his colleagues in the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) for uniting major political figures in the state.

The commendation came during the APC Governors’ meeting held in Birnin Kebbi, followed by a stakeholders’ gathering at the Presidential Banquet Hall on Friday, October 17, 2025.
Chairman of the PGF and Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, speaking on behalf of all APC Governors, lauded Governor Idris for his warm reception, hospitality, and visionary leadership.
“We are in Birnin Kebbi for our regular Progressive Governors’ meeting and decided to meet with you, the party stakeholders. I must confirm that we are all happy and excited by the wonderful hospitality extended to us by the Governor of Kebbi State. We sincerely thank him for his generosity and leadership,” Uzodimma stated.
He praised Governor Idris for demonstrating wisdom, foresight, and political maturity by fostering unity among all major political actors in the state, including incumbent and former Governors, Deputy Governors, National and State Assembly members, and the 21 Local Government Chairmen.
According to Uzodimma, Kebbi State now stands as a model of political peace and harmony under Governor Idris.
“What I witnessed here is unity and progress. It is extraordinary to see political gladiators such as Senator Adamu Aliero and Senator Atiku Bagudu sitting together. This speaks volumes about the peace and understanding Governor Idris has brought to Kebbi State,” he added.
The PGF Chairman further commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ongoing economic reforms, describing them as critical to rebuilding and repositioning Nigeria for greater prosperity. He expressed optimism that the temporary hardship experienced earlier under the reforms is gradually easing, with relief already visible across the country.
Governor Idris’ leadership continues to draw national recognition for uniting Kebbi’s political class and fostering harmony that strengthens the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
