SRRBDA MD Felicitates with Sokoto State On 50th Anniversary

The Managing Director of the Sokoto Rima River Basin Development Authority (SRRBDA), Abubakar Malam, has congratulated the Government and people of Sokoto State on the occasion of the State’s 50th anniversary.

In a congratulatory message issued on behalf of the Management and Staff of the Authority, Abubakar Malam, described the golden jubilee as a historic milestone that reflects five decades of resilience, cultural pride, and progressive leadership.

He noted that over the years, Sokoto State has recorded remarkable achievements in governance, agriculture, education, commerce, and human capital development, while maintaining its revered status as the Seat of the Caliphate and a symbol of unity and peace.

Abubakar Malam specially commended the Executive Governor of Sokoto State, Dr. Ahmed Aliyu, for his leadership style and commitment to good governance and sustainable development.

He also paid glowing tribute to the Sultan of Sokoto and President-General of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, for his fatherly role in promoting peace, religious harmony, and the preservation of cultural heritage within the State and across the nation.

He reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to supporting Sokoto State’s development, particularly in the areas of water resources development, irrigation, food security, and rural transformation.

He stressed that SRRBDA’s interventions are aligned with national development priorities and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He prayed for continued peace, prosperity, and sustainable growth in the State, expressing optimism that the years ahead would bring improved quality of life for the people.

In a statement by the MD’s Special Assistant on Media, Amiru Adamu, the Managing Director reiterated SRRBDA’s readiness to deepen collaboration with the Sokoto State Government for the overall development of the State and Nigeria at large.
