The leadership of Young Leaders Initiative Network (YALI) Network Sokoto has held a strategic meeting with members of the U.S. Government Exchange Alumni Association to strengthen collaboration aimed at advancing youth development and community impact in Sokoto State.
The meeting, which took place at the American Space Sokoto, was led by the YALI Network Sokoto State Coordinator, Maccido Bello, alongside members of the network’s leadership team.
The U.S. Government Exchange Alumni delegation was headed by the District Head of Kilgori, Muhammad Jabbi Kilgori, Sa’in Kilgori, who attended the engagement with members of his team.
Discussions during the meeting focused on strengthening ties between both alumni networks and identifying areas of partnership that could promote leadership development, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement among young people in Sokoto State.
Participants also emphasized the importance of building a strong working relationship among alumni as one family, while leveraging their collective experiences from various exchange programs to support initiatives that will benefit communities across the state.
During the engagement, the Secretary of the Alumni and Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, Mus’ab Hassan Bodinga, as well as the Assistant Program Officer, Nasir Murtala Magori, made notable contributions.
They shared insights into the structure and ongoing activities of the alumni association, highlighting opportunities for joint initiatives, knowledge exchange, and collaborative programs between both networks.
In his remarks, Kilgori commended YALI Network Sokoto for its commitment to mobilizing young leaders for positive social impact.
He also reaffirmed the Alumni Association’s readiness to support collaborative initiatives aimed at strengthening youth leadership and community development in the state.
The meeting marks another step toward building stronger partnerships among alumni networks committed to service, leadership, and sustainable development.
