The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, CFR, has called on the Muslim Ummah to begin the search for the new moon of Rabi’ al-Thani 1447 AH on Monday, 22nd September 2025, which corresponds to 29th Rabi’ al-Awwal 1447 AH.
He urged anyone who sights the new moon to promptly report it to the nearest district or village head for onward communication to the Sultan.
