The Executive Members of YALI Network Sokoto have reaffirmed their commitment to unity and collaboration following a courtesy and congratulatory visit to former State Coordinator, Salahuddeen Bello, now serving as Communication Assistant at the UNICEF Sokoto Field Office.
Led by the current State Coordinator, Maccido Bello, the delegation described the visit as more than symbolic, noting that it represented a moment of reconnection, appreciation, and renewed commitment to strengthening the Network’s future.
Mr. Salahuddeen warmly received the team and commended the leadership for what he described as a thoughtful and timely gesture.
Reflecting on his journey within the Network from Volunteer to Communication Officer and later State Coordinator where he emphasized how his dedication to YALI significantly shaped his professional growth and career trajectory.
He encouraged members to remain steadfast in their service and to continue contributing meaningfully to the development of YALI Sokoto.
In a significant development, Mr. Salahuddeen accepted an invitation to serve as Chairman of the Program Standing Committee, alongside other committee members to be announced soon. He also pledged his full support for the upcoming YALI Sokoto Alumni Connect 1.0 scheduled for March 28, 2025.
Additionally, he promised to provide branding materials and other forms of support for the event and future programs, further reinforcing a renewed partnership between past and present leadership of the Network.
Speaking, the State Coordinator, Maccido Bello, appreciated the hospitality, noting that YALI is always ready to collaborate with the Alumni to achieve its set objectives.
The visit signals a new chapter of collaboration and forward momentum for YALI Sokoto as it continues to empower young leaders across the state.
