Kebbi FERMA Boss Engr. Rilwanu Usman, FNSE, has emerged as the Best Performing Federal Roads Maintenance Engineer (FRME) among 38 engineers across the country, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to road maintenance and infrastructure management.
The award was the highlight of activities at this year’s Road Summit, held on Tuesday at the Ladi Kwali Hall of the Continental Hotel, Abuja.
Engr. Usman was honoured for his exceptional technical competence, unwavering commitment to effective road maintenance management, and remarkable efficiency in the deployment of manpower and resources to achieve optimal results.
Presenting the award, the Minister of State for Works, Barrister Bello Mohammed Goronyo, commended Engr. Usman for setting a high benchmark in professionalism, dedication and service delivery within the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA).
The award was presented in the presence of the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of FERMA, Engr. Dr Emeka Agbasi, to thunderous applause from participants at the summit, which attracted key stakeholders in the roads and infrastructure sector.
The recognition of Engr. Usman is widely regarded as a moment of honour and pride for Kebbi State, underscoring the state’s growing contribution to national development through excellence in public service.
